I’m Brian C. Newman, a telecom veteran turned educator and consultant. After 30+ years improving network engineering at Verizon, I now help leaders apply AI, 5G, and 6G to boost reliability, cut costs, and ship faster. Over 22,000 learners have taken my courses across Udemy, EC-Council, LinkedIn Learning, and Coursera. Through AI-Driven Consulting LLC and my “Intersection of AI” newsletter, I deliver roadmaps, workshops, and tools that move from talk to results.

2024-Present

Created a consulting practice focused on AI, 5G, and 6G strategy. Advising enterprises, investment firms, and professional networks on AI adoption, telecom transformation, and future network evolution. Develop online curriculum in AI, 5G/6G, and cybersecurity for a global audience across multiple vendors and platforms.

Senior Leadership Roles – Telecom

1990-2024

Held a variety of leadership positions over 34 years, spanning network engineering, operations, and IT across AT&T, MCI, Sprint (now T-Mobile), and Verizon. Managed multi-million-dollar budgets and nationwide fiber and wireless initiatives. Spearheaded the deployment of 5G networks and introduced AI-driven approaches to network development, automation, and customer experience. Guided cross-functional teams through large-scale transformations that shaped Verizon’s evolution.

Educator – Online Platforms

2000-Present

Taught project management and SQL at local colleges. Provided online resources in wireless communication for major search engines. Developed global online courses in AI, cybersecurity, and 5G/6G strategy with over 22,000 students worldwide. Current titles include Generative AI for 5G, 6G Foundations and Strategic Futures, and AI Risk & Ethics.

Author – Great Colorado Books

2014-Present

Write and self-publish books for both children and adults. Titles include The Lonely Doughnut, a children’s storybook, and Stained No More, an adult coloring book featuring unpainted church stained glass windows for readers to color.

2022-Present

Serve as a subject matter expert for global consulting networks, providing strategic guidance to investment firms, professional services teams, and enterprise clients.
